The Indiana War Memorial (downtown Indy) will be LIVE STREAMING the commissioning of the USS Indianapolis LCS 17 from Burns Harbor, Portage, IN in the Pershing Auditorium.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Auditorium seats 500 and are on a first-come-first-served basis.
USS Indianapolis (LCS-17) will be a Freedom-class littoral combat ship of the United States Navy. She will be the fourth vessel in the navy named after Indianapolis, Indiana.[7]
Marinette Marine is building Indianapolis at their Marinette, Wisconsin shipyard.[8][9] She will be commissioned in a ceremony at Burns Harbor, Indiana on 26 October 2019,[10] and will be assigned to Littoral Combat Ship Squadron Two. (Wikipedia entry)
