Merit Badge List and Times

For any new scouts, I would suggest signing up for 3 to 4 badges.  You don't need to sign up for something every hour.  That's too much for most youth.

* Eagle Quest is for those scouts that are of the rank Scout, Tenderfoot, or 2nd Class.  Those rankings will automatically be enrolled in one of the two Eagle Quest classes.

Other Details

Staying at the OBANNON WOODS GROUP CAMP and staying in cabins.  Cabins are not heated, so warm sleeping bags or blankets are suggested!

  • Scout Handbook
  • Notebook, Pen or Pencil
  • Clothes & underwear, socks for 6 days (plus a few replacements)
  • Jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt (warm clothes)
  • Comfortable shoes

  • Rain gear
  • Water bottle
  • Sleeping bag or blankets (nights will be cool)
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Insect repellent (non-aerosol)
  • Flashlight & batteries
  • Watch
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Religious materials
  • Pocket knife & Totem' Chip
  • Backpack, duffel bag, or foot locker for transporting gear
  • Prescription medication (marked with times and dosage please)
  • Camp chair

Rules and Notes

  • Cell coverage is limited, if you call Mr Jackson or Mr Beck, please leave a message.
    Texting may be a good choice, but no guarantees
  • If scout needs to leave camp, parent/adult must contact Mr. Beck or Mr. Jackson before leaving
  • Merit badge changes must be approved by Mr. Beck
