Summer Camp at Maumee Scout Reservation

Sunday Scout Drop Off (meet first at Paynetown SR)

Due to new camp requirements we will first meet at 1:00 PM at Paynetown State Recreation Area, then drive in a single convoy into camp Maumee (approx. 30 min drive).

Saturday Pick Up

Pick up from Camp Maumee like normal by 10:00 AM Sunday.  If using mobile maps on a phone, be sure to have offline maps available.  Cell coverage around camp is minimal. (How to use offline maps and official Google Download areas & navigate offline).  The camp also has a nice one page printable map with written instructions.

Camp Details

Week 3 - Sunday, June 27 - Saturday, July 3

Summer Camp is limited to 18 youth, 6 adults

$265 early bird, due to troop by April 13
$295 after April 13
$100 deposit due by Mar 16
(Adults $125 early bird, $195 after)

 

What to Bring

  • One (1) Package of Cookies
  • BSA Health Forms (all parts filled out, including the examination)
  • Class A Shirt
  • Scout Handbook
  • Notebook, Pen or Pencil
  • Clothes & underwear, socks for 6 days (plus a few replacements)
  • Jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt
  • Swimming trunks
  • Comfortable shoes (if taking Boating or Swimming need pair to wear in pool)
  • Boots
  • Rain gear
  • Water bottle
  • Sleeping bag or blankets
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent (non-aerosol please)
  • Flashlight & batteries
  • Watch
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Religious materials
  • Pocket knife & Totem' Chip
  • Backpack, duffel bag, or foot locker for transporting gear
  • Prescription medication
  • Camp chair
  • OPTIONAL: Camera
  • SWIMMING MB: Long sleeve shirt and long pants are required for the Swimming MB

What NOT to Bring

  • Cell phones (little to no cell coverage and no power to recharge)
  • Radios (do kids have these anymore?)
  • Media Players
  • Electronic games or device
  • Fireworks and Explosives
  • Matches
  • Large or fixed blade knives (camp rules)
