Philmont Backpacking Shakedown (Hoosier National Forest) at Two Lakes Loop Trail

Trip Agenda

• Total backpacking trip will be approx 12 miles 
• Those backpacking will need to pack Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast (plus snacks)
• All supplies must be packed in and out
• Each scout is required to pack their own meal
• We will have a chapel service on the trail Sunday morning

Directions: Located 3 miles south of Interstate 64 off State Highway 37. Turn at the large portal sign. A gatehouse sits just off State Road 37 at the entrance of the recreation area. Stay straight on the main road, the first trailhead is just past the first paved road on the left. There are several parking areas along this road all the way down to Indian Lake. Each has a spur out to the main Two Lakes Loop Trail. The rist parking spot is the closest to the main trail. GPS Coordinates: Lat - 38o 11' 56.664"N, Long - 86o 35' 53.951"W
