Drop Scouts off at the War Memorial between 9 A.M. and 10 A.M. - NOT the Scout Hut
If staying overnight and driving, be sure to park and pay in the proper place.
We will be staying overnight in the Indiana War Memorial... inside!
Be prepared for crowds as adults drop their scouts off.
What to Bring:
- Tent (if you want to set it up indoors) but not needed
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping ground pad or cot
- Pillow
- Change of clothes
- Mess Kit
- Water bottle
- Flash Light /Headlight
- Warm clothes for walking outside (hat and gloves)
Activities:
Saturday (All times are tentative)
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 A.M...Arrive at Indiana World War Memorial and put away gear
- 10:00 AM...Walk to Scottish Rite Cathedral for a Tour
- 10:30 A.M....Tour Scottish Rite Cathedral
- 12:00 P.M...Walk to Indiana State Museum...eat lunch of Crustables and chips.
- 4:30 PM...Return to Indiana World War Memorial
- 5:00 PM...Dinner (pizza)
- 7:00 PM...Tour of museum /Shrine Room & On Air use of Amateur Radio
- 9:00 PM...Cracker Barrel
- 10:00 PM...Lights Out
Sunday:
- A small breakfast (Pop Tarts or cereal or something like that) will be served Sunday morning.
- Parents and adults should pick up their scouts between 8:30 - 9:00 AM at the Indiana World War Memorial
Parking for Adults that are Staying:
- Metered parking is available on all four sides of the War Memorial (Meridian, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Vermont Streets).
- The main entrance to the War Memorial is on Michigan Street.
- Meters do not need to be fed on weekends.
- There are also surface lots and parking garages within walking distance of the War Memorial.
