Our troop has been requested to carry the USA Flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance at US Representative Todd Rokita's town hall this Tuesday, September 3rd.
If you are interested, please sign up online.
I expect any scout going to be in a clean (and maybe pressed) Class A shirt. We represent our local community and Boy Scouts of America.
On Sunday I will select the scouts from the sign up that will carry the flag and be the Color Guard commander. All scouts are welcome to be in attendance, just not everyone will march. I will email out an update on Sunday. A this time I am planning on having a Sunday evening (possibly Monday) practice at the Scout Hut.
Remember, this is open to the community, NOT just scouts. It is an excellent opportunity to attend and hear our congressman speak about what's happening in Washington DC and the impact to Indiana.
