Wednesday Family Night

Wednesday evening is Family Night at camp. The Troop will providing chicken and drinks.

Dinner is FREE, but please bring a side dish and/or desert. Let Chris Jackson know it you are attending when you drop your scout off on Sunday.

Dinner, camp tour, and evening programs are planned for the whole family.

What to Bring

• Class A Shirt
• Scout Handbook
• Clothes, underwear and socks for 6 days
• Jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt
• Swimming trunks (pack on top or wear on Sunday)
• Comfortable shoes
• Boots
• Scouts working on Boating merit badge need a pair of shoes to wear in the lake
• Scouts working on Swimming merit badge need a pair of pants to wear in the lake
• Poncho or raincoat
• Belt
• Water bottle
• Sleeping bag or blankets and a small pillow
• Toothbrush, towels, soap, comb, etc.
• Notebook, pen/pencil
• Sunscreen/insect repellent (non-aerosol)
• Flashlight with extra batteries
• Watch, first aid kit, camera, religious materials
• Pocket knife
• Long pants (jeans) and long sleeve shirt are required for the Swimming merit badge
• Backpack, duffel bag, or foot locker
• Prescription medication must be in original container

What NOT to Bring

• CELL PHONES
• Radios
• CD players
• Pagers
• Electronic Games
• Any Electronic Device (except camera)

Rules and Notes

• If scout needs to leave camp, parent must contact Mr. Beck or Mr. Jackson before leaving
• All Firecrafter events end Friday at 10:00 PM
• Troop will offer Troop Bank to secure scout money
• Merit badge changes must be approved by Mr. Beck
• Extra fees for craft and shotgun shooting merit badges

Directions - 1 hour Trip From Avon

1. Take US 40 west to Putnam/Clay county line
2. Turn south (left) at the county line on road 500 East (also known as 900 W)
3. Turn east (left) on 1000 S
4. Turn south (right) on 775 W
5. Stay south on 775 W for 3.25 miles (you will pass over I-70 about 1/2 way)
6. Turn east (left) 575 N and follow signs to camp
