Cub Scout Baloo Training at Scout Hut

Please complete online training at my.scouting.org before the day of the event.

Items to Pack:

• Sleeping bag rated for the temperature outside
• Ground pad or cot
• Camp chair (for sitting Outside)
• Personal items needed for an overnighter
• Tent or Camping Hammock (tents available for use from Troop 306 at the Scout Hut if you don’t have one)
• The Ten Essentials
  • Pocket Knife  - Pocket knife, nothing too huge :-)
  • First Aid Kit  - Small personal first aid kit 
  • Extra Clothing  - Varies depending on the adventure
  • Rain Gear  - Rain seems to always follow ill prepared scouts 
  • Water Bottle  - At least 500ml 
  • Flashlight  - A good light source with good batteries, LED style very nice 
  • Trail Food  - Snacks, not a full meal 
  • Matches and Fire Starters - Matches, flint, and so on 
  • Sun Protection  - Sun glasses, Sun tan lotion, hat, lip balm, and so on
  • Map and Compass  - No toys, make sure it really works
• Check in will be from 8-9 am on Saturday morning at the Scout Hut
• Training is all day Saturday and includes an overnighter
• Will try to have things wrapped up by 9 AM on Sunday
